What happened to Hopin?
Hopin was acquired by RingCentral in 2023 and renamed RingCentral Events. Since that acquisition, many users have reported difficulties: slower onboarding, less responsive support, and a product strategy refocused on the RingCentral ecosystem. If you were using Hopin for events independent of any RingCentral suite, the current platform may no longer match your needs.
Does MeetOS handle hybrid events (in-person + virtual)?
Yes. MeetOS integrates live streaming (via built-in YouTube) and online sessions in the same event space as your in-person attendees. Agenda, networking, Q&A and community feed work for both audiences simultaneously.
Do attendees have to download an app?
No. MeetOS is a Progressive Web App. Your attendees access the platform from their browser, with no installation. On mobile, they can simply add the shortcut to their home screen.
How long does it take to migrate from Hopin to MeetOS?
